And the winner of the Whyte’s Award at this year’s Watercolour Society of Ireland annual exhibition is……Jim Doolan, for his depiction of Casey’s Quarry, Gorey Co. Wexford! Jim received his award from Sarah Gates at the opening ceremony yesterday.
A very busy and successful opening night for Whyte’s at the beautiful James Wray Gallery, Belfast. We are showing the highlights of our Irish & British Art auction at James Wray & Company, 14-16 James Street South, until 5pm today and from 10am to 5pm tomorrow. Our expert valuers Sarah Gates and Adelle Hughes will be available for complimentary valuations of Irish Art for the duration of the exhibition. The auction will take place at the RDS, Dublin, from 29 September to 1 October.
We will be at The James Wray Gallery in Belfast previewing some of the highlights of our forthcoming Irish and British Art auction. Please feel free to come along and meet the specialist valuers for informed advice and valuations.
We are looking forward to choosing a winner of The Whyte’s Award in the Annual Exhibition of The Watercolour Society of Ireland in the Concourse of the County Hall, Dun Laoghaire.
