Our History, Literature and Collectibles Auction is now on view in our Molesworth Gallery. Viewing continues both tomorrow and Friday 10am – 5.30pm.

History for Sale at Whyte’s!

501Our History, Literature and Collectibles Auction will be on view for three days next week prior to the sale day on 26th January.

Collectors are sure to jump at the opportunity to acquire beautiful and colourful examples of original advertising with artwork by famous artists including Paul Henry and Norman Wilkinson. Some of the most impressive examples were produced by the railway companies and posters such as lot 501, a 1930s Great Southern Railways, Connemara poster (estimate €500-700) and lot 502, a 1950s Paul Henry Sheephaven, Donegal poster (estimate €500-700) show just how appealing and splendid these promotional posters were.

VIEWING: Wednesday 23rd to Friday 25th January 10am to 5.30pm; Saturday 26th January 9am to 12.30pm

Happy New Year.

HISTORY (26 JAN 13)Whyte’s would like to wish all our clients a very happy and prosperous New Year.

We are looking forward to our first sale of the year, the History, Literature and Collectibles Auction, which is to take place on Saturday, 26th January at 1pm.

The catalogue is now available online at http://www.whytes.ie and will also be available in our gallery at 38 Molesworth Street, Dublin 2.

On offer we have, an eclectic array of interesting, unusual, rare and attractive artefacts, including historical documents and manuscripts, maps, prints, photographs, postcards, ephemera, posters, militaria, weapons, medals, sporting memorabilia, antiquarian books, coins and banknotes and much, much more.

Wednesday 23rd January – 10am to 5.30pm
Thursday 24th January – 10am to 5.30pm
Friday 25th January – 10am to 5.30pm
Saturday 26th January – 9am to12.30pm
